Quebec City, Canada-based H2O Innovation announced an engineering contract with U.S.-based automaker Tesla. H2O Innovation’s Water Technologies & Services (WTS) business unit will design two reverse osmosis (RO) water treatment trains, each rated for 2,200 m3/day, for the new Tesla production facility outside Austin, Texas.
Gigafactory Texas, Tesla’s manufacturing facility in Travis County has been under construction since July 2020 and is expected to begin operations by the end of 2021.
