Water Mergers & Acquisitions: Trends and Deal Flow, Q4 2022 

The pace of global water M&A has begun to pick up speed, returning to pre-pandemic levels. So far this year, Bluefield has recorded 300 deals in 2022, putting this year on track to hit or surpass the six-year annual average of 327 deals. This uptick has been driven primarily by deals in the U.S.—with 108 new acquisitions recorded in Q3 alone—and complemented by moderate growth in the digital water and network & distribution segments.
