Reese Tisdale is President & CEO of Bluefield Research, with extensive experience in industry research, strategic advisory, business strategies across the water, power, and energy sectors. Building Bluefield from the ground up stands as one of the most significant and rewarding milestones in his career.
Before launching Bluefield in 2013, Reese served as Research Director for IHS Emerging Energy Research (now S&P Global), a research and advisory firm specializing in renewable energy markets and company strategies. He has also worked for what is now Thermo Fisher Scientific, Sunoco, and several regionally focused, environmental consultancies.
Reese’s most distinct experience, however, stems from his three-years in the Peace Corps in El Salvador, where he worked on water supply and agriculture projects following the country’s 12-year civil war. This grass roots development experience greatly influences his perspectives on baseline critical infrastructure needs, particularly in developing economies.
Over the years, Reese has been cited by news organizations, including Bloomberg News, CBS News, The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, and National Public Radio. His active participation in podcasts, such as The Water Values Podcast, and his role as the host of The Future of Water Podcast, reflects his commitment to sharing his insights and knowledge with a wider audience.
Reese Tisdale holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Natural Resources from The University of the South, Sewanee, Tennessee. Additionally, he completed a Master of International Business Administration (MBA) from Thunderbird: The American Graduate School of International Management in Arizona.
